Soo… hey guys.. I know, I know.. you’re probably like two and a half months later?? Is this girl for real? I know I promised many interesting posts but truth be told school has taken a toll on me. I barely have time to blog, or work on my designs.. *sob sob* On the bright side, holidays are right around the corner and by that I mean mid-June lool. I’m really looking forward to going home, mostly because I’ll get a lot of time to do what I love most…. fashion 🙂 and secondly because I miss my Kenyan food soo much and my mummy..and daddy..and beautiful sisters…. May is Africa month at UCT so today our East African Society (EASOC) cooked for us all the yummy food we miss from home…chapatis, mandazis, ugali, you name it.. It was such a nice turn out of what was proving to be a cold, boring day… We even got to take photos with our flag which if I may add looked the best compared to all the others.(no bias, the Kenyan flag is actually really beautiful). Talk about being homesick..
I have only had time to work on one thing during my stay here. I designed and stitched a skirt which I wore to an Easter Braai. It took me weeks to make it actually lol. It’s such an easy skirt to make but again, school work and Capetown life didn’t give me enough free time to work on it. I didn’t get time to take photos of me wearing it but here is a photo of how it looks. I was really proud to wear one of my own designs 🙂
This week we finished all our tests for this semester and are now waiting and preparing for the exams… *teren teren* so in the meantime during my study breaks I’ll be working on a long-promised skirt for my friend Taina. lool yes, Taina it’s finally coming and yes, I’m serious 🙂 hope it turns out great. My next post will hopefully be based on the skirt.
Since this is a fashion blog I feel like I should just share with y’all some of the outfits I’ve been rocking to school. Yes, I dress up to school because I feel like everywhere one goes(whether it’s to school, to dinner, a movie, etc) is a new opportunity for a new and exciting outfit. So if you have that new fancy outfit that you wanna rock up don’t wait for that perfect occasion because it’s never gonna come.. Rock it up to school and enjoy all the lovely compliments..
such a cold day this was but I just loove this simple sweater.
this blazer is so vintage.. bought it from a random store for only 80R which I feel is a really good deal.
blouses always add class to an outfit.
collars and cute sweaters kill me.. love ’em
because I love my tushie.. lool.
anyway, I hope you enjoyed..until later
