Hey my loves 🙂 hope your week is going good.
Today I’m talking about my trip to Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden which was a couple of weeks ago. I came here with my lovely friends Jess and Jillian who you probably know of from my blog 🙂 We had just gotten to Capetown and were enjoying the last day of our holiday before opening school the next day.
For those of you who don’t know this, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is one of the seven botanical wonders of the world and is the grandest and most beautiful in Africa. It truly keeps up to its name. The garden is nothing less of majestic. I’ve actually been here a number of times, with my friends, my sister, and also my mum while she was visiting Capetown. I’m always looking for excuses to go back because this place gives me so much peace . If any of you are ever in Capetown and looking for a place to visit, this definitely has to be on your list.
We went on a chilly Sunday afternoon and had such a wonderful picnic. We didn’t get a chance to take too many photos of the plants because it was really cold and we wanted to hurry and get back to the warmth of Jess’s apartment. However, we’re definitely planning a trip back soon!
Here are a few photos of how it turned out.
You won’t believe it but I’m actually wearing stockings. Stockings that are the colour of your skin are just thee best because you can still rock a shorter dress without worrying about the cold or spoiling the outfit with dark coloured leggings. I got these from Woolworths which I think has like the best leggings and stockings so head to Woolworths and get yourself a pair. I can’t even begin to say how much I love red dresses. I think I have like four now. You’ll definitely see more of these on the blog. This particular one was bought for me by my very stylish mother from H&M in Switzerland. The red doll shoes are from Bata, Kenya.
Onto more exciting news I’m so glad to announce that I was chosen to cover a fashion event tomorrow evening both on my blog and on my YouTube channel. The event is called Temporium which basically lets creatives like fashion designers, models, photographers, musicians and traders to showcase all their talents and products . It’s really cool. I’ll also be acting as a second hand trader where I’ll be selling my clothes. I’ve wanted to clear my wardrobe for so long, as you guys might remember from this post, and I’m so glad that I finally got the perfect opportunity. Go check out the event description here and make sure to come if you’re in Capetown and are free. You won’t regret it.
Hope you enjoyed reading.. have a lovely day..
