Hey my loves. This post is actually long overdue. Shot these photos a whiiiiiile back with my girl Phoebe who is such a dope photographer/filmmaker and I’m really grateful to her for helping me out for this post and YouTube video. Anyway, I haven’t done a #powertothewoman post in so long and you know how much I love these posts. So anyway decided to get on it today. Today we’re celebrating the regal beauty of Egyptian queens. I feel like they just slay waaaay too much. Even from back in the day, their sense of style always stood out. Their love for gold ornaments and accessories makes them look even more queen-like. My mum fell in love with the Egyptian style too and our living room back home is filled with Egyptian paintings and different ornaments.
An Egyptian woman that I’m sure we all admire from history is Cleopatra. She was Egypt’s first AND last female Pharaoh (and last pharaoh ever actually) . In that day and age, a woman having a position of power was unthinkable! However, Cleoptara still managed to break all gender barriers, ignore all the evil talk and follow her dream. And look guys, she made it! Just as we all need to. Hope you’ve all been working extra hard to be better in all aspects of your life 🙂 I beeeeeeen grinding as you probably know if you follow me on Snapchat (@teshieogallo), lol hoping it all pays off!
There are so many photos so I’ll keep this post short but remember to always SLAY ladies, just as the Egyptian ladies do 🙂
We came across this run down pool on our walk round the beach and found out something quite fascinating about it. Apparently, many years ago a rich man lived by the beach with his crippled wife who loved water so he built for her a pool close to the sea for her to enjoy the feel of being in the wild water while she chilled in the shallow pool overlooking the gorgeous Sea Point sunset. How romantic? #husband goals
